Sherri Shepard

Mrs. Sherrie Lynn Shepard, of Leachville, passed from this life Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro on her forty-ninth birthday. She was born in Monette to the late Terry Ray "Red" and Mary Ann Stockinger Puckett and was a lifelong area resident. Following the death of her biological mother she was raised by her uncle and aunt, Thomas and Dorothy Stockinger Puckett and was a 1985 graduate of Buffalo Island Central. Sherrie was a devoted Buffalo Island Central basketball fan and also enjoyed keeping game stats for her daughter's teams. She was a faithful Christian, attending First Assembly of God in Leachville.

In addition to her natural parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Dunn, and a niece, Tabitha Casey Shepard.

Survivors include;

1 Son and daughter-in-law, Joshua Daniel and Tracey Shepard of Manila

1 Daughter, Jessica Danielle Shepard of Leachville

and their paternal brother, Jaxx Dakoda Shepard of Leachville

5 Brothers, Everett Puckett of Houston, Texas; Curtis and Angie Puckett; Larry and Jackie Puckett; and Yancy Puckett all of Leachville; and Jerry Puckett of West Plains, Missouri.

4 Sisters, Darlene and Barry Dunn of Manila; Dianah and Kenny Rowan of Jonesboro; Zenia and Dean Fortson of Leachville; and Terrie McCormick of Senath, Missouri.

She is also survived by over 20 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Wednesday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Reverend Tom Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
