Annie Tusing
Mrs. Annie Lois Tusing, 88, of Dell, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Jonesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Jonesboro. Born to James Cline and Marie Newsom Dobbs, Annie was a retired employee of the Dell Post Office and a lifelong homemaker. She spent most of her life in Dell. In her earlier years, she was active in the Dell PTA and all of the activities involving her children. Mrs. Tusing was a lifelong member of the Dell United Methodist Church where she spent many years as the treasurer for the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Tusing; her parents; son, Robert Arthur "Bob" Tusing; granddaughter, Amanda Tusing; brother, J.R. Dobbs; and sister, Virginia Schoder.
Annie leaves her children, Edwin Tusing and wife Susan of Dell, Lois Ann Thron and husband Bill of Germantown, Tennessee, Susan Tusing of Atlanta, Georgia, and Linda Petty and husband Lee of Marianna, Arkansas; sisters, Maurine Dobbs of Gosnell and Christine Dobbs of Slidell, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14th at 10:00 a.m. at the Dell United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilyn Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Dell United Methodist Church or to the Farmers in the Dell Relay for Life Team. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
