Ronnie Nance, 67, of Monette died Saturday, June 11, 2016, near Portageville, Mo. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Junior Nance, was a 1966 graduate of Manila High School, and was employed as a truck driver for Crop Production Services. Ron had been a Monette resident for the past 12 years and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Nance, and his grandparents, Herman and Sarah Nance, and Clarence and Mayme Blevins.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Margaret "Margie" Robins Nance of the home; one daughter, Jenny Barton, and husband Johnny of Keiser; his mother, Mary Lee Nance of Manila; two stepsons, Marty Mullins and wife Daphne of Dahlonega, Ga., and Scotty Mullins of Monette; two sisters, Judy Green and husband Paul of Benton and Brenda Perry of Leachville; eight grandchildren, Pamela Barton and fiance Zack Carroll, Glenna Myrick and husband Steven, Kelsey McEveres and wife Ruby, Kama Mullins, Joe Mac Mullins, Peyton Mullins, Skyler Mullins, and Luke Mullins, and one great-granddaughter, Zoey-Kay Myrick. He also leaves his best friend, Donnie Jay Ashabranner, and wife Sheila.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday June 16, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Whittenburg, Brian Minton, Ray Birdno, George Wright, Kurt Vaughn and Jerry Vaughn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Fleeman, Cody Fleeman and Gary Don Fleeman.
