Charles Wilburn Hill, 68, of Osceola, died May 23, 2016 in Jonesboro. Born Feb. 12, 1948 in Cotton Wood Corner, Ark., he was a retired Captain with the Osceola Police Department, retired from the Mississippi County Juvenile Detention Center, and a member of Big River Hunting Club. He was a Baptist, and also had an associate's degree in air conditioning and refrigeration.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Leon Hill and Mary Katherine Jacks Hill, who followed in death nine hours later. He was also preceded in death by son Christopher "Chris" Hill, sister Annette Terry, and great grandchildren Charlee, Sylar and Dawson Hill.

Mr. Hill leaves his wife, Paula Hill of Osceola;

One daughter, Jessica (Bobby) England of Memphis;

One son, Clayton (Marcie) Hill of Ward, Ark.;

One brother, Bobby Hill of Osceola;

Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Wayne Moore, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 26 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
