Joseph Spencer, 60, of Osceola, died May 16, 2015 in Jonesboro. Born Jan. 9, 1956 in Memphis, he was retired from Rea Magna Wire Company, and was a member of New Mt. Pleasant, where he served as Chairman of Deacon Board, Men's Teacher, and Sunday School Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lasalle Clark, Jr.

Mr. Spencer leaves his wife, Viola Spencer of Osceola;

One daughter, Twila Armstrong of St. Louis;

One sister, Delinda (Michael) Fletcher of Blytheville;

Two brothers, Jesse Spencer of East St. Louis and Quenton (Victoria) of Gosnell;

One grandson, Zackary Armstrong of St. Louis; and

Two great-grandchildren, Zikyrus Armstrong of Little Rock and Londyn Jenkins of St. Louis.

The family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 p.m. at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Ronald Williams, Sr., will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery.
