Tolitha Kaye Adams, 74, of Hernando, Miss., former Manila resident and widow of Dr. George Adams, passed from this life Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, Miss. Born April 13, 1942, in Manila, she was the daughter of the late W.M. and Mazie Milligan Davidson and was a 1960 graduate of Manila High School. She received her BSE and MSE from Arkansas State University with degrees in elementary education, special education and instructional supervision. She was a lifelong educator having served in many school districts as a teacher and later principal. As a principal Kaye wanted her teachers and staff to have the best and be the best. She had a great passion for education and a special love for the many children she taught throughout her career.

Kaye was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree where she served many years as the church organist. She was a lifelong supporter and fan of Arkansas State University athletics, especially the football program, where her brother "Bull" Davidson was a former longtime head coach. Following her retirement she enjoyed crochet, music, watching Dancing With The Stars, and playing golf. She was a regular volunteer at The Arts Council in Hernando, The Food Pantry, and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kaye was preceded in death by her son, Greg Adams, two sisters, Anabeth Holt and Virginia Steele, and a brother, Bill "Bull" Davidson.

She is survived by her three grandsons; Zachary Adams, Nicholas Adams and Evan Adams, all of Hernando, Miss. She also leaves numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday May 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Manila with Rev. David Steele and Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service of Manila. The family received visitors Saturday from 9:30 until service time at the church.
