James Brandon Riggs, 42, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2016. Brandon was formerly from Blytheville, but a long-time resident of Memphis.

Brandon was born on Oct. 4, 1973 in Blytheville and was the youngest child of F.B. and Linda Riggs. He was raised in the country of Mississippi County, where he loved to walk the cotton fields searching for arrowheads. Brandon loved learning about many cultures, including the local history of Native Americans. Brandon graduated from Gosnell High School and moved to Memphis soon after.

He had a confident karaoke voice, was knowledgeable about war history (especially WWII), and loved taking walks in Overton Park with his beloved chocolate lab, Nero. Brandon enjoyed working down on Beale Street and being part of the Memphis scene. He had a carefree smile and a warm, friendly heart.

Brandon is preceded in death by his parents, F.B. and Linda Riggs; his nephew, Allen Riggs; and many other beloved family members.

He is survived by his brother, Ben Riggs and wife, Lou of Blytheville;

Sister, Dawana Hawk and husband, Bob of Knoxville, Tenn.;

Sister, Carla Riggs-Ring and husband, Danny of Somerville, Tenn;

Nephews, Daniel and Justin;

Nieces, Elizabeth, Ashley, Lindi, and Rachel;

Great-nephews, Michael, Avery, Lee, and Kaden;

Great-nieces, Victoria, Olyvia, and Estella;

Countless other family and friends; and

His long-time puppy friend, Nero.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Dell Community Center (410 Main Street Dell, AR 72426). The visitation will be held from 3:00pm till time of service at 4:00pm.
