Mrs. Maxine Robinson Johnson, 64, of Newport died Sunday, February 7, 2016 in her home. Born December 26, 1951 in Blytheville to the late Love Robinson, Jr. and the late Luecressie Sanders Robinson, she was a retired teacher of the Newport School District and a member of the First Baptist Church in Newport's Mission Society and usher as well as a member of the Zeta Honor/Service Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Johnson, Jr., two sisters, Leothia Washington and Katherine Robinson and two brothers, Edward Robinson and Charles Robinson.

Mrs. Johnson leaves three sisters, Patricia A. Tate, Gloria (James) Newbern and Debbie Henderson, all of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Newport with Rev. Marvin Alcorn, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Blytheville.
