Mr. Charles "Sonny" Landon Freeman, 75, of Lepanto died Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Osceola. Born October 20, 1940 in Manila to the late Carl Freeman and the late Callie Rollins Freeman, he was a truck driver and a member of the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Hobbs, his brother Jimmy Freeman and his granddaughter Lacy Freeman.

Mr. Freeman leaves his wife Linda Shirley Weathers Freeman of Lepanto;

One daughter, Lacinda (Lay) Rains of Jonesboro;

One son, Ricky Freeman of Lepanto;

Four sisters, Carlene Roark of Lepanto, Betty Rodgers of Etowah, Shirley Adams of Manila and Diane Meherg of Etowah;

One brother, Bobby Freeman of Neark, Ark.;

Two grandchildren, Dustin Dewayne (Ashley) Fletcher and Taylor Dane Freeman; and,

Three Great Grandchildren, Jaci Lynn Stallings, Will Stallings and Dalton Fletcher.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah with Bro. Freddie Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah. The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah.
