Tommy Wade Spencer, 74, of Leachville, died Saturday January 23, 2016 at his home. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Floyd and Janie Heard Spencer and was a lifelong area resident.

Tommy attended Leachville High School and worked for many years as an electrician, retiring from Magnetek Universal Manufacturing in Blytheville. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Assembly of God in Leachville. Tommy loved hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Spencer Lasater, a grandson, Landon Ray Spencer, three brothers, Richard Spencer, Jimmy Spencer, and James Floyd Spencer, and one sister, Judy Horn.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara Roberts Spencer of the home;

Four sons, Danny Spencer and his wife Macel of Leachville, Timothy Spencer of Leachville, Don Spencer and his wife Nancy of Leachville, and Shawn Spencer and his wife Hidda of Jonesboro;

Two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Chris Jackson of Leachville and Regina and Billy Meacham of Leachville;

One brother and sister-in-law, Freddy and Elaine McClain of Leachville;

One sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Johnny Johnson of Memphis;

18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday January 27, 2016 at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Spencer, Bradley Massey, Anthony Herrera, Ruben Palacios, Joshua Elder, and J. D. Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will include Austin Pruitt, Dalton Pruitt, and T.
