Mrs. Lillie Bell Braswell, 87, of Pascola, Mo. died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. She was born March 24, 1928 in Malden, Mo. to the late John and the late Jennie Snider Thrasher. She was united in marriage to James (Joe) Braswell on December 9, 1949 in Piggott, Ark. and to that union was born three children.

She loved her flowers and her garden, loved to cook and can and she love the Lord all her life. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Lillie also loved to be with her family and friends and loved search-a-word puzzles and "Socks" her monkey.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Barry Anthony Braswell and two sisters, Clistie Rourk and Violet Frye.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 66 years, James (Joe) Braswell of Pascola, Mo.;

One son, Gary and his wife Ginny Braswell of Blytheville;

One daughter, Tammy and her husband Louis Parchman of Blytheville;

One daughter-in-law, Linda Braswell of Slidell, La.;

One brother, George Thrasher of Pascola, Mo.;

Three grandchildren, Ryan Braswell of Blytheville, Candace Braswell of Slidell, La. And Derick Lossing of Blytheville;

Two great-grandchildren, Ben and Bess Braswell of Blytheville; and

Dr. Abdullah Arshad who loved her and took very good care of her.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo. with Rev. Ron Lawson officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, Mo.

Pallbearers were Matt Braswell, James Braswell, Jeff Braswell, Ryan Braswell, Johnny Thrasher and Derick Lossing. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Odom, Greg Duffy and Phil Smith.
