Berl E. Cohoon, 95, of Hermondale, Mo., passed away the evening of December 14 at St. Bernard's hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on July 5, 1920 to Gurley and Thelma May McIntosh Cohoon. He was raised in the bootheel area and was very pleased his later years were spent on that same land.

He taught vocational agriculture in several areas of SE Missouri. After 30 years, he retired from Equitable Life, where he served as an Appraiser and Area Investment Manager in both NE Arkansas and SE Missouri.

Two of Berl's passions were being a part of the Rotary Club and the Masons and proudly maintaining a lifelong membership in both organizations. He was also a long time member of First Christian Church in Blytheville.

A great joy later in life was his 1954 Jeep Willis that he entered in numerous car shows throughout the mid-south winning multiple trophies and Best in Show awards.

Berl was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Vonnell Cohoon.

He is survived by wife, Deborah Cohoon, of Hermondale;
