Richard Lee "Dick" Armacost, 76, of Springboro, Ohio and formerly of Arkansas passed unexpectedly Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his residence. Born January 26, 1939 in Hollansburg, Ohio, Dick was the son of Howard Lee and Dorothy (Sparks) Armacost and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Dick was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served 7 years in the U.S. Air Force. Dick retired from Terra Chemical where he worked for many years as a Chemical Process Operator. During his working career he wore many hats, including those of a police officer, fireman, EMT and crash rescue. During his spare time, Dick enjoyed fishing, wood working, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Cincinnati Bengals, playing cards and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandsons Don Nicholson and Paul Barch.

Dick leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Gracie Nell (Wilder) Armacost of Springboro, Ohio;

Sons Richard Edward (Nancy) of Clarksville, Md. and Scott Allen (Susan)

Armacost of Memphis;

Daughter Teresa (Gerry "Nick" ) Nicholson of Springboro, Ohio;

Brother Edward (Janice) Armacost of Arcanum, Ohio and Vivan (Walter) Nieport of Greenville,Ohio;

Grandchildren Michael Todd, Amber Nicole, Quintin, Haley and Connor Russell;

Great grandchildren Alyssa, Michael, Matthew, Doug and Jacob and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 18, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jared Petty officiating.

The family has requested memorial donations in lieu of flowers to go to the Alzheimers Association.
