Jeff Wayne Brown, Sr.

Jeffrey Wayne Brown, Sr., 52, of Manila, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, from injuries sustained in a farm accident. Born July 16, 1963, in Phoenix, Ariz., he had been a Manila resident since 1980 and attended Manila High School. He was a longtime employee of Wildy Family Farms and enjoyed collecting arrowheads and marbles and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jeff was preceded in death by his fathers, Dalton Brown and Ronnie Fortson, Sr., a brother, Ronnie Fortson, Jr., and a niece, Casey Shepard.

Survivors include his wife, Jonie Coleman Brown, of Manila; two sons, Jeffrey Brown, Jr. of Manila and Jessie James Brown of Manila; four daughters, Kristie McDaniel of Jonesboro, Heather Hitchcock of Manila, Samantha Brown of Manila and Christina Brown of Manila; his mother, Connie Fortson of Leachville; two brothers, Alfred Brown of Manila and Frank Brown of Manila; four sisters, Diana Shepard of Leachville, Della Brown of Leachville, Marie Thompson of Manila and Amy Parker of Manila. Jeff also leaves six grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors Sunday evening from 6-8 at the Howard Chapel in Manila.

Pallbearers are Petey Slankard, Gary Carmichael, Sean Parker, Johnny Wise, Gavin Parker and Jeffrey Brown, Jr.
