Betty Bunn

Betty Joyce Bunn, age 85, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born to Kyle and Ila (Dickson) Ball, Betty was retired from Hancock Fabrics and was of the Baptist faith. She also worked at the Blytheville Cotton Classing office. She was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church, and worked as the church secretary for many years. Betty was an exceptional seamstress, and loved to crochet, smock, and sew. Cooking was also a favorite of hers. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. When her granddaughters were young, she was the "official gymnastics team French braider." All of the granddaughters would line up to get their hair French braided before a gymnastics meet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Laverne Harlan, Kathryn Higgins, and Peggy Downing.

Betty leaves behind her husband, Gene Bunn, of the home; children, Brenda Folkner of Blytheville, Ilene Moore and her husband Bill of Blytheville, Donna Pitner and her husband Mark of Booneville, Mississippi, and Janice Copeland of Blytheville; two sisters, Doris Coleman (Larry) of Blytheville, and Carol Britt (Tony) of Bartlett, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Coy Camp and Bro. Robert Duhon officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
