George L. Erby

George L. Erby, 67, of Blytheville died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at Great River Medical Center.

He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and had lived there until about 2009 when he moved to Blytheville. He graduated from high school in Milwaukee and had been in telecommunications with AT&T.

After moving to Blytheville, he worked for Walmart and later for the city of Blytheville in Code Enforcement.

He was the sound tech for his church, Frontline Ministries.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Cornelius Erby and Janice Osborne Erby and a son, Teyon.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Erby of the home;

Four daughters, Teresa Ware of Alabama, Carla Davis of Dallas, Andrea Gill Erby of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Janice (Jonathan) Smith of Jonesboro;

Three sons, James Davis of Milwaukee, Siyolo (Chantell) Erby of Milwaukee, and Christopher (Stephanie) Erby of Blytheville;

A sister, Fannie Brown of Palatine, Illinois;

A brother, Cornelius (Minnie) Erby of Milwaukee;

Twenty three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and other relatives.

Visitation and funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 12 at Frontline Ministries, Rev. Raymond and Rev. Mary Golphin pastors. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. when the funeral services begin. A memorial service will be held in Milwaukee later next week. Arrangements are by McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.
