W.T. Metzger

W.T. "Buddy" Metzger, Jr., age 85 of Blytheville, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Unity Harris Hospital in Newport.

Born to William Taft and Lorene (Cockran) Metzger, Buddy was a retired farmer and attended Pathway Church of God. He a former Chairman of the Mississippi County Election Commission, a former board member of Chickasawba Hospital, and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Keith Metzger; his parents; and brother, Rex Metzger.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Holmes Metzger;

Sister, Laverne Parrish;

Nieces, Brenda Travis and Barbara Heckney, and Jeri Bryan;

Nephews, Mike Parrish, Wayne Metzger, and Alan Metzger.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
