Mildred Jennie West, 91, of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, November 14, 2015 at her home.

Born to Edmond and Elizabeth Gibbs, Mildred was the owner of West Grocery, and was in the grocery business for 50 years. She was a longtime faithful member and servant of God at Armorel Baptist Church, where she taught Awana for many years. Mrs. West was a very special person to so many people. She was a loving, kind, and giving person, and loved children very much. Mildred was often called "Mamaw, Mimi, or Grandmother" by a lot of people. Many people will have numerous, fond memories of her, and she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Onis West; her parents; one sister; and six brothers.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Darby (Jr). of Blytheville, Bill West of Jonesboro, and Pam Yarbrough (Tony) of Cordova, Tenn.;

Grandchildren, Todd West (Beth) of Jonesboro, Stephanie Carter (Jim) of Blytheville, Steven Yarbrough (Jamie) of Lakeland, Tenn., Thad West of Jonesboro, and Adrianne Roy (Aaron) of Cordova; and

Great-grandchildren, Oliva, Brody, and Logan West, Eli, Micah, and Josiah Roy, and Kelsey and Megan Carter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Corkran officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
