David Gordon

Mr. David Wayne Gordon, 70, of Coppell, Texas and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015. He was born in Chicago, Ill. to the late George and Evelean Gordon. He was a diesel mechanic and loved to tinker with anything that needed fixing. As a member of The Shepherd's House Church, he delighted in serving others. He found a special place to help at the House of Bread. He served often, cheerfully, and without complaint; rain or shine. David was an avid outdoorsman and gifted musician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Gordon, his sister, Shirley Viot and his former wife, Charlotte Ann Gordon.

David is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sue Gordon;

One daughter, April J. Bentley;

Two sons, Hobert Daniel and David Jeremy Gordon;

Two step daughters, Carol Olds and her husband Rob, and Julie Shelton and her husband Chris;

One grandson, Jonathan Turner and his wife Leah;

One great-grandson that called him "little papaw"; and

David was also blessed with eleven step grandchildren and one step great-grandson who adored their Papaw.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rich Van Winkle of The Shepherd's House Church officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
