Grete Butler

Grete Butler, 87, of Fletcher, North Carolina and formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Grete was born in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany to Johenn and Lina Malerhofer Weber. She moved to the United States in 1955, and moved to Blytheville in 1988 after retirement in Rome, New York. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Eugene Butler, Sr. and by her grandson, James R. Fritsche.

Survivors include her twin sister, Marianne Behlert of Germany;

Daughter, Marlene Fritsche Drake and her husband Bill;

Son, Jesse E. Butler Jr. and his wife Laurie;

Granddaughters, Lina Shutts (Adam) and Meagan Butler;

Grandson, Aaron Butler;

Great-grandsons, Logan and Silas Shutts.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Fitzpatrick officiating.
