W.C. Armstrong

W.C. Armstrong, 76, of Black Oak, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at NEA Baptist Hospital. Mr. Armstrong was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Black Oak to the late Marvin and Lorene Wait Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Black Oak Church of Christ, retired from the United States Air Force and Colson Caster, and enjoyed farming for Finch farms.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Polly Armstrong of the home; one son, Rich Armstrong and wife Suzy of Paragould; two brothers-in-law, John Kisner of Black Oak and Joe Tallent of Franklin, N.C.; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrna Kisner and Ellen Tallent.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Black Oak Church of Christ with Mr. Eddie Dunigan officiating. The family requests private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
