Phyllis Eugenia Hess

Phyllis Eugenia Hess, 62, of Manila, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center. Mrs. Hess was born Sept. 9, 1953 in Hammond, Ind., to the late Charles and Tressie Gates McFadden. Mrs. Hess was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed spending time with family and doing crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Ben Hess of the home; one son, Charles Hess and wife Micki of Manila; one daughter, Joyce Carter and husband Delbert of Manila; three grandchildren, Travis Caldwell, Brandy Caldwell and Cheyenne Hess, all of Manila; and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Lawrence Memorial Garden, Walnut Ridge, with Bro. Graig Stull officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at Faith Funeral Service chapel from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.
