Businesses oppose tax

Some local businesses are voicing their thoughts on the city of Blytheville's proposed 1-cent sales tax. Pictured are Russell's Sales and City Councilman Tommy Abbott's Delta Auto Parts. All early voting will be held at the Election Center (former Moore Center), at the corner of Fifth Street and Chickasawba, from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 through Friday, Oct. 16 and on Monday, Oct. 19. Election Day voting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the regular polling places in the three wards. Those sites include the A.M.O.D. Building (corner of S. Elm Street and McHaney Drive), the Trinity Baptist Church (918 E Main, Blytheville, AR 72315) and the Election Center (former Moore Center at Corner of Fifth Street and Chickasawba).
