Jimmie D. Bollinger

Jimmie D. Bollinger,83, of Ravenden, former longtime Manila resident, passed from this life Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

Born in Manila to the late Samuel A. and Lera Belle Baker Bollinger, he was a 1951 graduate of Manila High School and later served in the U.S. Army. He had been a Ravenden resident since 1981 and was a lifelong farmer and rancher. Jimmie was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lutes Bollinger, one son, Mark David Bollinger, and a sister, Wanda Greene.

He is survived by three daughters, Terri Browning and her husband, Clifford, of Manila, Mollie Bollinger, of Manila, Amanda Adams, of Blytheville;

One brother, Sam Bollinger, of Manila;

One sister, Pat Jolliff, of Manila;

He also leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside furneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the Howard Funeral Home Service Chapel in Manila. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Curnett, Paul Wayne Hicks, Garry Jolliff, Jim Ed Robbins, Bobby Tucker, and David Kildow.
