Nevin Keith Hawkins

Mr. Nevin Keith Hawkins, 50, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home. Born February 1, 1965 in Paragould, Arkansas, he was the son of Jason Clifford and Bernadine Burgess Hawkins Herren and had been a longtime area resident. Mr. Hawkins was of the Baptist faith and had attended Leachville High School. Mr. Hawkins enjoyed fishing, playing Texas Hold-Em, watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren. His family would like Nevin to be remembered for his sense of humor.

In addition to his father, the late Jason Clifford Hawkins, Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death his step-father Frank Herren and one brother, David Brent Hawkins.

He is survived by his mother, Bernadine Herren of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Latosha Hawkins of Blytheville and Rachel Nicole (Doug) Craine of Armorel;

Six grandchildren, Jamison, Conner, Alora, Haylee, Kayla and Wyatt;

One Sister-in-law, Patti Hawkins of Manila;

One brother, David Herren of Caruthersville, Mo.;

One sister, Patricia McWilliams of Caruthersville, Mo.;

His best friend, Jim Hall of Blytheville;

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 29th at the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Caruthersville, Mo. with Rev. Richard Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 28th from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
