Jimmy "Tiny" Franks, 63 of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born to Howard and Janie "Jordan" Franks, Jimmy served his country with honor as part of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a retired mechanic for Stracener Brothers Construction Company. Jimmy was also a former mechanic for the Littrell Ford Dealership. One of his passions was drag racing. Jimmy loved to race his 1966 Chevelle. He was a devout fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Jimmy has a wonderful sense of humor and shared it with anyone he came in contact with. His "claim to fame" was that he wore a size 18 shoe. Jimmy loved his family, especially his "grand", Cenedra.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his two brothers, Leo and Curtis Franks; as well as a sister, Barbara Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Lamb Franks, of the home;

Two children, James Franks and his wife Kristin of Gosnell and Jami Welsh of Mississippi;

His brother, Eddie Franks and his wife Ollie Bell "Jean" of Graysville, Tennessee;

And two granddaughters, Cenedra Welsh and Katlin Branum.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 10th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robin Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time.
