Tanner Avery Ramsey Platz of Monette left our lives too soon at the young age of 19 on Thursday, July 23, 2015, near Black Oak. Mr. Platz was born Jan. 2, 1996, in Batesville to Clarence and Sandra Ramsey Platz. Tanner was a light unto this world. He brought a smile to the face of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He graduated in 2014 from Manila High School as an honor student and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved his hair.

Survivors include his father, Clarence Platz, Sr. of Monette; two brothers, Jonathan Platz and Clarence Platz, Jr.; two sisters, Christy Murphy of Manila and Alaina Grisham Rodgers of Jonesboro; 12 nieces and nephews that dearly loved him; and his paternal grandfather, Billy Platz of Monette.

Mr. Platz was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Platz; one niece, Blaze Murphy; paternal grandmother, Velma Platz; maternal grandmother, Delores Ramsey; and maternal grandfather, Audie Ramsey.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at First Baptist Church, Monette, with Rev. Jim Ruppard officiating. Interment was at at Macey Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Dylan Wycoff, Ethan Simpson, Dalton Murphy, Austin Pruitt, Hunter Keiter and Cory Wood. Honorary pallbearers were the Manila class of 2014.
