Hershel Lollar

Mr. Hershel Lollar, age 74, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born to J.B. and Alberta Roberts Lollar in Blytheville, he was a lifelong area resident and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Hershel served his country with honor as a soldier in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Quarry Crane Operator employed for 20 years by Marine Terminal which was owned by Elmer Stone and which is now the Kinder Morgan Barfield Terminal. He was a dedicated employee and his work was very fulfilling and important in his life. He was a devoted son, husband, and father, grand and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family.

Hershel is survived by his wife, Barbara Treadway Lollar of the home;

His father, J.B. Lollar of Blytheville;

Children, April Lollar of Tennessee, Hershel Lynn Lollar of Tennessee, Deanna Howard of Blytheville, Amy Lollar Burks of Gosnell, Angie Lollar of Kennett, and Charity Lollar Little of Gosnell;

His sister, Mavis Lollar Wilson of Blytheville;

16 grandchildren;

8 great grandchildren; and

A host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Cobb Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Robert White officiating.
