Barbara Jean Barks-Yarbro Crowe, 83, of Blytheville passed away recently. She was born July 25, 1931 in Three Rivers Michigan to William Barks and Dolly Mae Ash Yarbro. She was raised by her mother and step-father Charles R. Yarbro. On May 26, 1951 she married Charles farrow Crowe.

Mrs. Crowe thoroughly enjoyed her work in Respiratory Therapy at Baptist Hospital in Blytheville. She quit working to take care of her granddaughter, Brittney. She taught her how to cook among other things, and left her a lot of precious memories.

Mrs. Crowe loved working in her flower garden and taught her grandsons all about flowers.

She was especially fond of her black poodles, Oreo and Scooby and her orange canary, Bobby Joe.

She was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. Her daughter says that she was a loving mother and her best friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Farrow Crowe, Sr.; and a sister, Patsy Gelinas.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Phillips and husband Michael of Blytheville;

One son, Charles Farrow Crowe, Jr. and wife Angie of Blytheville;

Three grandchildren: Brandy Michelle Caldwell and Chad Crowe, both of Blytheville, and Brittney Ann (and Russell Lee) Alt from Conway;

Three great-grandchildren: Clay Caldwell and Alex Caldwell, and their father, Mark Caldwell, all of Blytheville, and Rustin Alt of Conway;

One brother, Charles Richard Yarbro and wife Peggy of Conway;

One sister, Charlene Smith and husband Jack of the state of Texas.

There was a private family visitation. The funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Graveside services were held at Elmwood Cemetery.
