Wanda Jean Smith lost her battle with cancer June 26, 2015. She battled valiantly but in the end she may have lost her battle with cancer but she won the war of life. She went home to be with the Lord that loves her and died for her.

Wanda was a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics. She loved people and had a heart of gold.

Wanda was preceded in death by one son, James Richard Britt that died immediately after his birth. Also by her mother Maggie Lee Griffin.

Wanda left an extended family but she loved them all the same.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Danny L. Smith of the home;

Two daughters, Heather Smith and Brandi Brandenburg and her husband Ricky, all of Gosnell;

One half-brother, Benny Ray Martin of San Antonio, TX;

One half-sister, Bonnie Mae Martin of Nixon, TX;

Two grandchildren, Dakota Smith and Karma Rosaleigh Nicole Smith.

Wanda is also survived by her father Walter Ashley of Blytheville;

Three step-daughters, Mandy Miller and her husband Shannon of Armorel, AR, Mindy Simpson and her husband Scott of Smyrna, TN and Casey Knight and her husband Justin of Blytheville;

Four step grandchildren, Briley Miller, Lillian Ray Miller, Seth Daniel Simpson, and Camille Simpson.

Wanda is also survived by a special daughter that she helped raise, Tammy Penney and her husband Barry of Blytheville, AR. Also Tammy's children who she loved dearly Rebecca McKinney and husband Steve, Kaitlyn Penney and Jonathan Penney, all of Blytheville.

Wanda has been blessed to have some special friends in her life, Danny and Laurie Moore and Rick and Linda Hamilton.

A special thank you to her in home nurse, Carol Myers, for being so special.

A special thanks to the hospice staff for all your wonderful support and kindness. Also, Brittney Herron and Jenifer Stone.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday June 30, 2015 in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny L. Smith and Rev. Gary Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm also at the funeral home.
