Carrie Short

Carrie Short, 77, of Osceola, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at her home. Born to Wiley Short and Annie Laura Short on September 24, 1937 in Osceola. She was a retired nursing assistant of the baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters, Inorra Branch, Rosie "Bessie" Fowlkes, Queen Short, Alberta Short and Annie Louise Short; four brothers, Albert Short, Wiley Short Jr., Jim Short and Johnny Short.

She is survived by her daughter, Margo R. Jackson of Osceola;

Four sisters, Barbara Jo Short of Chicago, Illinois, Martha Moore of Osceola, Barbara Ann Miller and Annie Dortch both of Memphis, TN;

Two brothers, Artie Short of Saginaw, Michigan and Robert Moore of Osceola; and

Three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 13 from Noon-2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Osceola. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will take place at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
