Vada Lucille Sparks Day, 86, of Boonesville, Mississippi, formerly of Lepanto, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at her home in Mississippi.

She was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Molden, Alabama, to Wheeler and Lula Sparks. She was a factory worker of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Houston Day; one daughter, Billie; one son, William Wayne; one sister, Lillie; two brothers, Sigurs Sparks and George Sparks; three grandchildren, Dana, Anthony and Little Jim; and one great-grandchild, Brittany.

Ms. Day leaves her four daughters, Sheila, Rose, Lisa and Sallie;

One son, David;

Three sisters, Velma, Dorothy Tina and Lafern;

Thirteen grandchildren; and

Forty-four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at New Life Ministries in Bassett, with Bro. Robert Day officiating. Burial will follow at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
