Edith Carol Curtis Cantwell

Edith Carol Curtis Cantwell, 67, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at her home in Tyronza.

She was born Dec. 1, 1947, in Clare, Mississippi, to Clarence Curtis and Anna Curtis. She was a homemaker of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vester Cantwell; her daughter, Angela Thomas; her sister, Loretta Curtis; and three brothers, Richard Curtis, Jr. Curtis and Glenn Curtis.

Ms. Cantwell leaves her companion, Paul Thomas of Tyronza;

Two daughters, Jessie (Jerry) Smith and Ann (David) Tiger of Marked Tree;

Two sons, Joe Cantwell of Marked Tree and Justin Gross of Ripley, Mississippi;

Two sisters, Zellia Stevenson of Holly Pond, Alabama, and Grace Thrush of Clare, Mississippi;

One brother, Allen Curtis of Boaz, Alabama;

Ten grandchildren; and

One great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. Rick Kimery officiating. Burial will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.
