Doris L. Robertson, 88, of Manila, widow of Thomas Robertson, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the Manila Nursing Center.

Born in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Thelma Houston Holder, and was also raised by her step-father, Virgil Cunningham. She was a 1944 graduate of Manila High School and had lived most of her life in the Manila area. Mrs. Robertson was a retired bookkeeper for the former McCulley-McKinnon Lumber Company in Manila and Day's Men's Store in Blytheville. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and had served for many years as the church librarian.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and a grandson.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Henry and her husband Rick of Manila, Vivie Veach and her husband Robert of Manila and Shirley Reed of Jonesboro;

One sister, Jessie Ashabranner of Manila; and

Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Matt Pryor and the Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Towles, Allen Donner, Paul Wayne Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Ricky Cherry, Bobby Walton, Kenny Noble and Dan Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Hamilton and Woodrow Henry.
