Lloyd Ray Baker, 98, of Blytheville died Monday, April 6, 2015, at his home.

Born to Homer and Mae (Outlaw) Baker, Lloyd was a retired farmer. He was a pilot since he was a young man and loved to fly. Learning was one of his passions. He loved school and took numerous classes at Arkansas Northeastern College into his later years. He also liked to travel, especially to the South American countries. Lloyd was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Murphy; a step-daughter, Linda Tucker; a step-son, Buddy Wheat; and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Philene Gatlin Baker of Blytheville;

Two step-children, Terri Wheat of Conway and Michael Wheat of Virginia;

One granddaughter, Kristen Coates;

Three step-grandchildren, Angela Woods, Nikki Foote and Jerry Hamra; and

Three great-grandchildren, Briley Foote, Alyssa Foote-West and Collin Overton.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Wallace officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
