Harriet Marie Vanzant

Harriet Marie Vanzant, 59, of Forrest Park, Illinois, died March 13, 2015, in Forrest Park.

Born Dec. 14, 1955, in Hughes, she was a Blue Cross/Blue Shield supervisor and a member of Loving Word Ministries of Forrest Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.Z. Vanzant and Annie Law Stemich Goss; and two sisters, Dorothy Jean Johnson and Lilly Mae Butler.

Ms. Vanzant leaves her goddaughter, Kendra Freeman of Chicago;

Two step-sisters, Diane Vanzant and Sheila Vanzant, both of Memphis;

One brother, Willie (Kathryn) Vanzant of Hagerstown, Maryland; and

One grandson, Kaedyn Singleton of Chicago.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bishop James Sims, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens.
