Ruth Ann Stallings Ashley

Ruth Ann Stallings Ashley, 65, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Monday, March 16, 2015, at St. Bernards Hospice in Jonesboro.

Born to Lee Abner and Mae Inez Stone Stallings in Burdette, she was a lifelong area resident, a retired setup supervisor at Borg-Warner and member of the Ruddle Road Church of God.

Ruth Ann loved bowling. She was a member of the Borg-Warner bowling team and bowled in a league for many years. During those years, she became friends with many people. These friendships helped to create many strong bonds and were some of the happiest times in her life. She also enjoyed going to Florida and

enjoying the water, sunshine and sand. Most importantly was her love for having her family gathered around her. She looked forward to the summers when family would gather for barbecues, games, reflecting on memories and her desire for it to be time well spent together. As the old saying goes, "She was truly the bond that held family together."

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy Wayne Stallings and Tommy Lee Stallings.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Floyd Ashley of the home;

Her children, Danny Davis and his wife Betty "Susie" Davis of Gosnell and David K. Moore of Blytheville;

Her grandchildren, Joey Davis of Searcy, Amber Polk and her husband Dustin of Gosnell, Anjelique Moore of Paragould, Dillon Moore of Monticello, Arkansas, Annalise Stallings of Monticello, Arkansas and Joshua Elrod of Bassett;

Her great-grandchildren, Addison Davis and Audrey Polk;

Her sisters, Betty McFatridge of Osceola, Ida Harrison of Blytheville and Connie "Baby Girl" Elrod of Bassett; and

A host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cobb Funeral Home.
