Helen Louise Brooks

Helen Louise Brooks, 87, of Osceola, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

Born on Dec. 21, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Howard Bud and Elsie "Irene" Cain, she was a member of First Christian Church in Osceola and a member of Christian Women's Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brooks; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Brooks and Scott Brooks, both of Osceola, and Todd (Nancy) Brooks of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Deborah Longcor of Elkhart, Indiana, and Lisa (Andy) Ramer of Harrisburg;

Nine grandchildren, Mason Longcor, Erin Longcor, Megan Owens, Taylor Brooks, Alex Brooks, Kelsey Brooks, Ashley McClain, Amy Hopps, Jordon Harrell;

Eight great-grandchildren, Zoe Owens, Madylin Owens, Harrison Owens, Kaleb McClain, Olivia McClain, Lauren McClain, Matthew Hopps and Grace Hopps;

One sister-in-law, Norma Cain,

A niece, Becky Porter; and

Many other nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Osceola.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Osceola with Brother Jerry Weathers and Brother Pat James officiating. Burial will follow in Ermen Cemetery.

In memory of Mrs. Brooks, memorials can be made to First Christian Church Building Fund and The American Cancer Society.
