Rosie Lee Foster Woods

Mrs. Rosie Lee Foster Woods, 86, of Luxora, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born April 4, 1928, to the late Jessie Foster and Lila Taylor, she was a homemaker and a member of Zion Chapel MB Church in Luxora where she served on the Motherboard.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first spouse, Larris Clifford Mosley; her second spouse, Jessie Woods; five daughters, Jessie Mosley, Loistine Mosley, Evelyn Kuykendall, Margaret Woods and Theretha Woods; four sons, James Mosley, Joe Mosley, Roosevelt Woods and PeeWee Woods; and three brothers.

Mrs. Woods leaves one daughter, Etter (Mark) Patterson of Memphis;

Two sons, Douglas (Margaret) Woods of Blytheville and Hossie (Connie) Woods of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin;

Three sisters, Jessie Mae Moore, Catherine Bennett and Earline White, all of Chicago;

One brother, David (Edna) Foster of Chicago; and

Twenty-three grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel MB in Luxora with Melvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Luxora Cemetery in Luxora.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
