Lawrance Vance "L.Van" Waddell, III

Imboden --Lawrance Vance "L.Van" Waddell, III, passed from this life on Jan. 1, 2015, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born in Manila, Sept. 25, 1957, he was the son of Lawrence Vance, Jr., and the late Iva Dell Downing Waddell.

L.Van began his education at the Manila Elementary School. After her finished the third grade, his family moved to Imboden, Ark., where he graduated from the Sloan-Hendrix High School.

L.Van continued his education through on-the-job training. He became a master plumber; he finally owned his own business and helped many people while he was still able to work. He was of the Methodist faith and attended the First United Methodist Church in Imboden.

All of his life he was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and to fish. During his school years, he loved to play baseball. Watching baseball in his later years gave him much pleasure. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Lawrence Vance Waddell, Jr., of Imboden; one son, Lawrence Vance "Lance" Waddell, IV, of Galveston, Texas; one daughter, Taylor Waddell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one brother, Anthony Waddell and his wife Margaret of Imboden: and two sisters, Adella Bookout and her husband Johnny of Smithville, Ark., and Angela Perrin of Imboden. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

L.Van was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Dell Downing Waddell; his wife, Tracie Waddell; one sister Lilla Waddell; his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Lila Downing; and his paternal grandparents L.V. Sr., and Addie Mae Collins Waddell.
