Alice Louise Mullins Hollingsworth

Alice Louise Mullins Hollingsworth, 86, of Jonesboro, formally of Blytheville, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1928, in Yarbro. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dollie Mullins. While living most of her life in Blytheville, she was an employee of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), and a member of First Methodist Church where she worked with the youth alongside her husband. Later, she was a member of First Baptist Church. After retirement, she moved to Jonesboro where she became a faithful member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and attended the much-beloved Jim Cole Sunday School class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Calvin Hollingsworth; and her great-granddaughter, Faith Benzing.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Harrell and her husband, Dr. Harry, of Jonesboro, and Jill Reynolds and her husband, Bob, of Roland;

Five grandchildren, Holly Trauth and her husband, Ryan, of Waco, Texas, Harriett Benzing and her husband, Aaron, of Vilonia, Paul Harrell and his wife, Megan, of Jonesboro, Calvin Reynolds and his wife, Juliana, of Roland, and Andrew Reynolds and his wife, Bekah, of Maumelle;

Seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Allison and Grace Benzing of Vilonia, Cathryn, Elizabeth and Harrison Trauth of Waco, Texas, and Jake Reynolds of Roland;

Two sisters, Wanna Widner of Portageville, Missouri, and Fannora Gardner of Jonesboro;

Two brothers-in-law, John "Tip" Hollingsworth and his wife, Nema, of Garland, Texas, and Jerry "Bo" Hollingsworth of Blytheville; and

Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Bro. Curtis Shatley and Bro. Jerry Parker officiating.

Committal will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Emerson Funeral Home presiding.

Pallbearers will include Paul Harrell, Calvin Reynolds, Andrew Reynolds, Aaron Benzing, Ryan Trauth and Albert Hollingsworth. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of Jim Cole's Sunday School class.
