Charles Wesley Carter, 70, of Blytheville, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, in Blytheville.

Born on Dec. 8, 1944, in Osceola, to Albert Carter and Lillie Edwards Carter, he was a fork lift operator. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was of the Baptist faith.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Allen Carter of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Sabrina Reed of Memphis and LaEna South of Ypsilanti, Michigan;

Two sons, LaMichael Davis and Charles Ellison, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan;

Four sisters, Verlene Palmore and Dorothy Carter, both of Blytheville, and Francis Oliver and Naomi Hastings, both of Memphis;

Four brothers, Albert Carter Jr. of Osceola, Ronnie Carter of Blytheville, Willie Carter of Elkhart, Indiana, and Robert Carter of Madison, Wisconsin; and

Nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
