Ronald William Maple

Ronald William Maple, 70, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1944, in Waukegan, Illinois, to the late Ivan and the late Phoebe Ann (Shultz) Maple. He was a member of Blytheville Presbyterian Church in Blytheville. He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving over 23 years of which three years were served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Virginia Maple of Valdosta;

Three daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Maple and Christy Maple, both of Asheville, North Carolina, and Sandy and David Joyner of Quartz Hill, California;

Four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Janice Maple of Lake Charles, Missouri, Bob Maple of Springfield, Illinois, Raymond and Alice Maple of Georiga, and Jimmy and Cindy Maple of Godfrey, Illinois;

Three sisters a brother-in-law, Christine and Jess Rice of Woodstock, Georgia, Barbara Norman of Godfrey, Illinois, and Patsy Gustafason of Houston;

A sister-in-law, Frances Dietrich of Canoga Park, California; and

Several nieces and nephews.
