Ruth Payne

Ruth Payne, 86, of Blytheville, passed from this life Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.

She was born to Paul A. and Ida (Cossey) Trammell and was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. Ruth liked to deer hunt, fish and was an avid canner, especially of fruits and vegetables. She was a retired bookkeeper for Carlock Pontiac.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne K. Payne; two brothers, Ray Trammell and Ralph Trammell; and one sister, Ruby Herrin.

She is survived by her four sons, Larry Payne and Jackie of Marion, Mike Payne and Sheila of Wynne; Kenny Payne and Mary of Bono; and Billy Payne and Ann of Burdette; and

Ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Cobb Funeral Home.
