Mary Frances Gonter

Mrs. Mary Frances Gonter, 83, of Blytheville, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Mrs. Gonter was born on Nov. 3, 1930 in Seattle, Washington, to the late Valentine Henry and Margaret Simkins Ellis. Mrs. Gonter was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, gardening and crafts.

Mrs. Gonter was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl Gonter; and one daughter, Mary E. Gonter Blondin.

Survivors include three sons, Karl Gonter Jr. and wife Mary of Mission Viejo, California, Kari Gonter and wife Wendy of Morgan Hill, California, and Bernhardt and significant other Natasha or Tacoma, Washington;

One daughter, Karline Elder and husband Bennie of Blytheville;

One brother, Val Ellis of Washington;

Two sisters, Jean Peterson of Seattle, Washington, and Maggie Germain of Douglas, Alaska; and

Twenty grandchildren; 10+ great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will have private service and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Pierce College Foundation in memory of Mary Gonter-Blondin, 1601 39th Ave. SE, Puyallup, WA 98374-2222.
