Carolyn Alford Richardson, 77, of Blytheville, passed away early Friday morning at Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Blytheville on Oct. 23, 1936, to Jimmy and Annie Mae Wicker Alford. She was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. She was a member of Well Spring Assembly of God (formerly Blytheville First Assembly).

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and had become active in breast cancer awareness. She was a hard worker and retired from two jobs. She worked for Randall Company as a factory worker in the packing department for 30 years. She worked over 10 years as the deli manager at Hays. She loved shopping with her sisters and sisters-in-law and they could shop all day in one store! She was a homemaker at heart. She took great delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the glue that held the family together. She kept up with everyone's birthdays and she was instrumental in planning the family reunions.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Burley Alford, Pat Alford and James Alford; and three sisters, Lela Mae Smith, Ola Mae Petty and Ophelia Eagan VanHorn.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charlie Richardson of Blytheville;

Her daughter, Connie Mosley of Blytheville;

Her son, Charles W. Richardson of Macon, Georgia;

Two grandsons, Matt Mosley of Branson, Missouri, and Dylan Richardson of Macon, Georiga;

One great-grandson, Connor Mosley of Branson;

One great-granddaughter, Avery Mosley of Branson;

Three brothers, Jimmy Alford of Sikeston, Missouri, her twin brother, Harold Alford of Hot Springs and Frank Alford of West Memphis; and

Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were Sunday at the Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation as Saturday evening. Burial was in Carney Cemetery.
