Lions fall short in bid for first win -- Brookland defeats Manila 30-16

Manila's senior Lions looked to be on the verge of gaining their first victory since the 2012 season when they took an 8-0 lead over Brookland midway through the third quarter of play. The Lions were still in position to pick up the win with 9:00 left in the game and the score tied 16-16, but the Bearcats, behind quarterback Drake Rainwater and running back Brett Robinson, scored two touchdowns within a 24 second span and turned back the Lions 30-16 in non-conference football action Friday night at Bearcat Field.
