Mr. Richard J. Coleman, 69, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

He was born in Osceola, the son of Willie L. Coleman Sr. and Mrs. Josephine Palmer Coleman. His father, brother Joseph, and sisters Rosetta, Willie Mae, and Debra preceded him in death.

He worked in many industries and lastly drove the bus for FOCUS. He was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, where he taught Sunday School, served as Sunday School superintendent, deacon, member of YPWW, and other auxiliaries of the church as he was needed.

Mr. Coleman leaves his friend and longtime companion, Mrs. Charlene Dunn of Blytheville;

His daughter, Delrico Skynisha Coleman of Blytheville;

Stepson, LaShadrick (Candace) Dunn of Blytheville;

His mother, Josephine Coleman of Flint, Michigan;

Seven sisters, Ethel (James) Robinson of Moundsville, Alabama, Dorothy Dorsett, Velma Mizell, Bonita Tellis, and Terri (Don) Lewis, all of Flint, Sandra (Cecil) Mitchell, and Brenda (Ryan) McClain, both of Blytheville;

Four brothers, Eddie (Helen) Coleman and Clyde (Elizabeth) Coleman, both of Flint, Willie (Valarie) Coleman Jr. of Blytheville, and Ronald (Beverly) Coleman of Greensboro, North Carolina;

Two grandchildren, Jayceon and Nakyra; and

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Bishop Theodis Rucker, pastor. Elder Henry Davenport will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Faith Temple COGIC, Elder Davenport, pastor.

Burial will be at Gethsemane Gardens.
