Nell Moore Henson, 83, of North Little Rock, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at the Baptist Springhill Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock.

Born to Moss and Esther Hughes Moore in the Huffman community, she was a lifelong resident, a member of North Tenth Street Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Nell loved to paint and became an accomplished artist over the years. She also enjoyed making all types of jewelry. Her home was one where children, friends and family felt joy and many good times. She loved to go on picnics with the family. She would cook all day and when everyone was there they would gather everything and head to the river area. She was very dedicated to her children's activities in school and enjoyed having their friends over. Her devotion to family and friends, her husband James, and her grandchildren was exceeded only by her strong love and faith in God.

Her parents, husband James Henson, granddaughter Kathryn Henson and three siblings preceded her in death.

Nell is survived by her children, Jan and Steve LIttrell of Blytheville, Paul Henson of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Douglas and Vicki Henson of Little Rock;

Grandchildren, Jennifer and John Johnson of Blytheville, and Lauren Henson of Farmington, Mo.; and

A great-grandson, Robert Hopper.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you and recognition to friends and staff of Pleasant Hills Assisted Living and Fox Ridge Assisted Living for all they care and concern they showed to Nell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at North Tenth Street Baptist Church in Blytheville, with Dr. Max Briley officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
