Leonard Cecil Sandusky, 85, of Manila, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Manila, he was the son of the late George and Pearl Felty Sandusky and had been a lifelong Manila resident. He was the owner/operator of Sandusky Gin Equipment and Sales in Manila until his retirement in 2004, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes Sutterfield.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosemary Lay Sandusky of the home;

Two sons, Wesley Sandusky and his wife Pam of Manila and Timothy Carlton Sandusky of Manila;

Five grandchildren, Blake Sandusky, Heather Short, Mollie Harrison, Tiffany Sandusky and Michelle Sandusky; and

Five great-grandchildren, Beth Wilcoxson, Jake Short, Ethan Harrison, Callie Short and Baylee Harrison.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Howard Funeral Service in Manila.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Jerry Weathers and the Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Paul Wayne Hicks, Eulas Johnson, Jim Thieme, Clifford Browning, Cole Hawkins and Barry Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Rod McCord, Dub Henson, Boyce Fletcher, Eugene Dobbins, Jim Speight, John Mayes and Gary Muelholand.
